*Standard and Lightweight Wheelchairs, what is the difference?
Standard Manual Wheelchair: Chair weight starts at 36 lbs. Vinyl upholstery and removable arms, along with a 16" seat depth, are typical.
Lightweight Manual: Lighter-weight for easier propelling and transporting, topping out at 34 lbs. Nylon Upholstery and available 18" seat depths. Arms are flip-back or removable with adjustable height options available.
Seat to Floor Height, or STFH:
This is the distance from the floor to the seat of the wheelchair.
Standard or Adult Height measures 19.5".
Hemi Height measures 17.5" from seat to floor, and is common for smaller-frame individuals or for those who use their feet to propel the wheelchair.
